The Grand Haven Marina T-Shirt captures the intensity of one of Lake Michigan’s most active harbor mouths—where deep water, heavy traffic, and human interaction shape the ecosystem as much as current and structure.

This original illustrated design depicts a large school of coho salmon aggressively feeding near the surface, drawn upward by trolling tackle extending down from boats above. As the school fractures, weakened fish fall away from the movement—where sea lamprey attach to struggling salmon, and the consequences of pressure become visible. Below, native crayfish feed on the remains of a deceased coho resting on the ancient Devonian fossil lakebed, completing the cycle beneath the surface.

Above the waterline, Grand Haven’s iconic pier and harbor presence remain calm and familiar—standing in contrast to the layered story unfolding below.
